How do I get connected?

You must have three things to have a web page on the Internet:

Domain Name:                The unique address for your site on the Internet.

Host Server:                A computer where your web page is accessed.

Web Page Designer:                A person to create and maintain your web page.

I can provide all three at reduced rates.  Both the Domain Name Registration and Host Server are outsourced with companies that allow me to pass on special rates to you.

How long will it take to get my page up and running? Your page will be accessible within two business days. Construction of a basic web page and setting up all the domain and server information is completed within two days.  Additional pages and graphics will be quickly added upon completion.

Can I see the page before it's up and running? Your page will not be activated until you approved it.  Plus, you'll preview at your convenience on your own computer.

What is an ISP? ISP is short for Internet Service Provider.  It's the company you use to access the Internet such as Sprint, AOL, Time Warner's Road Runner Service, etc.

Can I use my ISP as my host server?Yes, but the charges will be different and most likely much higher than what I can offer.  Billped.com has an arrangement with a Host Server service that allows for a highly discounted rate.

My home ISP offers free space for a personal web page.  Can I use it for my business web page?No, the ISP you use for your home Internet access and email offers this service for personal use only and may not be used for business purposes. They may offer a separate business hosting package. Check your ISP home page for more information. 

My home ISP offers free space for a personal web page.  Can billped.com also design personal web pages?Yes, and since you'll access it through your ISP subscription, domain name charges and host server charges are already paid.  There is a small, one-time set-up fee to activate and upload the pages onto your site after they're created.
